This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact working with a focused 3rd5th grade caseload in one school building, alongside a collaborative team that includes a full-time school counselor.

Hours: MondayFriday, 7:50 AM3:05 PM

Work Week: 35 hours/week

Caseload: Approximately 4045 students (grades 35)

Setting: One school building; students are served in both self-contained and general education resource settings

Team Environment: Collaborating closely with another full-time school counselor
Daily Responsibilities:

Provide direct and indirect social work services to students with IEPs
-
Conduct assessments and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
-
Support students' academic and emotional success through goal-based interventions
-
Partner with staff and families to develop and implement student support plans
-
Serve as a resource for mental health, behavior, and community connections
-
Contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture
Illinois State Requirements:
-
Must hold a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement

Prior school-based experience preferred, especially with IEP caseloads
-
Strong collaboration and communication skills
